Rainforests in a bottle

To finish off our Geography focus this week we had lots of fun making 'Rainforests' in bottle. We learnt that these are called terrariums and we are hoping they will help us find out exactly why it is so humid in the Amazon rainforest.

What do you think the climate is like inside our mini rainforests? Explain why using your Science and Geography knowledge.

Insect art

We began by learning how to draw insects and we even made some of our own plastacene insects.
We can show you some steps: First you make 3 balls the head, the thorax and the admin,
Then you stick them together to get your body,After that you place 6 legs and if you make a butterfly you need 2 big wings,Then you need to make 2 eyes and 2 ante eyes .

We used this new learning to help us draw detailed sketches of our chosen insect. Here are some examples of our work:

Fun with coding!

Today, we have had a really fun morning using 2Code on Purple Mash. It has really helped us with debugging as some of the challenges are rather tricky!

2Code is a place on Purple mash where you can program things to say, move and do what you need it to on the screen.

There are levels on 2Code and we have started on Chimp and are working our way up! We need to tick on the list when we have completed our challenges. We love seeing our progress and we are hoping to make our way to Gibbon in no time!

Click on the Purple Mash link on the right to keep working on 2Code at home toO!

Leckmo, told us when she was doing messy things she just wears her trousers and a T-shirt.We have been learning about Buddhists although we didn't know everything
