Opaque, transparent or translucent?

In Science this week we have been investigating the best material for making blinds for the Colosseum in Rome.

We began by sorting materials as to whether we thought they were transparent, translucent or opaque.

After predicting which material we thought would be best we then used the Dataloggers to measure which type of material was the most opaque.

Next week we will be making graphs of our results!

What did you learn during the experiment? Comment below!

We are Historians!

In our History lesson this week we looked at time lines. We used our Maths skills to order the dates of the events in Ancient Roman times.

The Roman Empire

BToday in our theme lesson we have been working on our history and geography skills to find out how far the Roman Empire spread across Europe! We were able to find the names of lots of countries using the atlas too!

Jayden's map

Tegan's map

We then used tracing paper to colour in where the Romans invaded and made the Empire.
